As a public library located in the heart of a burgeoning district of Copenhagen, the Ørestad Bibliotek presented the challenge of providing comfortable temperatures for a high turnover of people.
220 Jaga radiators were chosen to suit different building scenarios with the same results: super responsive heat output with minimal energy consumption. The selected products feature Jaga’s energy efficient Low-H2O technology, meaning each radiator uses 90% less water than its steel panel equivalent, as well as cutting carbon emissions by 10% and energy costs by 15%. These eco-friendly solutions were a significant factor in the Ørestad Bibliotek attaining Low Energy Class 1 building certification. Jaga Mini wall-mounted radiators were used throughout the library, having been incorporated into the building design and installed as part of the original construction process. The architects specified the Jaga Strada model for the building’s kindergarten facilities, not only for its sleek design, but also because its low surface temperature remains safe to touch. Even when water temperatures reach 90°C, it remains safe at all times to combat the risk of accidental burn.
Jaga Mini Freestandings were positioned in front of the Library’s glass facades as a discreet solution that counters heat loss without the need to be fixed into the building’s walls.
